At the invitation of WBL agency, I created a set of illustrations promoting the new Teatergaten shopping center in Gothenburg.
The compositions were used as large-format advertising banners surrounding the construction site. Their purpose was to generate interest in the project, build positive associations with the place, and integrate it into the city’s narrative even before its opening. The project also included promotional materials such as a box and a shopping bag.
The illustrations combine elements of architecture, nature, and pop culture. Each reflects a different aspect of the city’s emotional landscape – from overstimulation and awe, through social pressure, to the instinctive need for expression. The compositions balance fashion, graphic design, and collage, creating a narrative about contemporary urban experience and the relationship with a space that is still taking shape.
